UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 17:
This looks like it's a go, as a long day, put in at Wildcat Gas Plant, spend most of the time on the island, take out at Cochrane. Proposing we do this on Saturday.
About the put in: we park on the road before the entrance to the gas plant, and use the long foot path down to the river - RECOMMENDATION - BRING WHEELS and WEAR STURDY FOOTWEAR.
We have also been asked to conduct a site inspection and report:

***
Fun Facts: This is an excellent fall trip with a good weather forecast, clear water and leaves starting to change colour. Good trip for a novice to advance to intermediate.
We will stop at Wildcat Island and do some island stewardship activities (this is around 15 years in the making; we put the original outhouse toilet here and the usership has gone up and up ever since):
-Fix the outhouse
-Fix the picnic tables
-Disassemble informal rock fire rings
-Clean up litter
Depending on who signs up we will divide up who will bring gear and supplies, wood, etc.
Expected Flow: Low
Duration: day trip or come prepared to stay one night, we will need enough people to divide the groups safely into who wants to stay overnight vs just one day.
